The Items You Need to Gather for Your Reverse Mortgage
Reverse mortgages have minimal requirements. You will however require a few documents for your application.
These documents include:
- photocopies of a drivers license or other photo ID for all borrowers, Power of Attorney, and guardians;
- photocopies of of the Social Security cards for all borrowers;
- the original Counseling Certificate;
- a copy of the tax bill for the property;
- a copy of the homeowners insurance policy;
- a copy of the current mortgage statement if you have a mortgage;
- a copy of a durable Power of Attorney if you are using it;
- a copy of the Trust Agreement if your property is held in Trust.
Other documents may be required if you have special circumstances.
